Our Beliefs
BibleWe believe the Bible is the Word of God: written by men but inspired by God. It is the only authority in matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20,21)
GodWe believe God the Father & Creator is perfect in all ways. He knows more than us. He is endless in his power. He is love. He showed his love for all by sending His son to die for our sins so that we can be forgiven. He will judge all of mankind one day on whether or not they followed his son. He will judge all mankind one day on whether or not we have followed the son. If we did we will receive, eternal life with Him in heaven. If we do not, there is a hot alternative. (1 Peter 1:16, Revalation 4:8, Romans 11:33, Luke 8:22, 1 John 4:7-10, John 3:16)
JesusWe believe Jesus is the son of God, God himself, and that He became completely man. He was conceived through the holy spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life and chose to die as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. He arose from the dead and appeared to 500 people. He now sits at the right hand of God. He will come back one day and judge all based on acceptance or rejection of him. He is the only way to bridge the gap between sinful man and God. (Mark 14:61, 62; Matthew 16:16, 17; John 1:1, 14; 10:30, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Acts 4:12)
Holy SpiritThe Spirit convicts the world of sin, the right way to live and judgement. It is received and dwells within all Christ followers. (John 16:8; Acts 2:38)
ManMan was created in the image of God. Unfortunately we generally choose sin over Gods way and have to pay the consequence of our choice The penalty of sin (which all have commited) is death. Only through making Christ lord of your life can you spend eternity with God. This is what God desires for His creation.
ChurchThe church is made up of all Christ Followers and is the spiritual body of Christ. We are to bring Christ to all people & lead them to salvation through Him. The church helps the body mature by equiping them through prayer, Bible study, and acts of service. It gathers to worship, pray, instruct, encourage, and hold one another accountable. Baptism and Communion are practiced by the church as key identifying symbols of Christs death, burial, and resurrection.
SalvationSalvation depends on your choice of accepting Christ as Savior and making Him Lord of your life. This starts with Faith- putting your trust in Him completely. Next is Repentance - admiting your way is not the right way; being sorry for your sins and commiting to obey Him in the future. Next is Baptism: Water immersion - as an adult. In the New Testament- belief and baptism are always linked together. Every person is called to be baptized. (John 1:12, Acts 2:38, 17:30, 8:26-40, 16:16-34; Romans 6: 1-7, Galatians 3:27, I Peter 3:21)
